ENROLL IN MYACCOUNT
Register at your workplace and
public bank with the help of our agents
HOW IT WORKS
MyAccount will transition every KRG Civil Servant to the program by the end of 2024. The MyAccount team is currently working through all Accounting Units, across all Ministries and public departments through a predefined schedule.
The enrollment process requires people to first choose which of the participating banks they wish to hold an account with. The banks have been carefully selected to ensure the safety and security of our civil servants' hard earned salaries.
Once a bank has been selected, that bank processes the new account and issues a Debit Card which can be used to withdraw cash from ATMs or make digital payments.
Digital salary payments to bank accounts will only begin when the MyAccount team is confident that sufficient ATMs are in place for civil servants to conveniently access their cash.
All members of the program will be individually informed in advance of when their salaries will be digitally paid and they can begin to access 21st century banking. All members will continue to access their salaries in the usual way, until they have been individually informed through a direct message from the MyAccount team.
Below are the details for each step of the process of joining MyAccount
ENROLLMENT PROCESS
1. Prepare your IDs
In order to verify your identity during the program registration, public servants are required to show one of the following two original ID combinations (no copies accepted) on the registration day:
- Option 1: National ID Card + Karti Zanyari. Both documents must be presented.
- Option 2: Civil + Citizenship Card + Karti Zanyari. All three documents must be presented.
2. Complete registration
Program enrollment will take place at the designated venue on the predefined dates (check onboarding schedule).
On those dates, MyAccount agents will be available on-site to help you enroll in the program.
They will double check your IDs, enter your information into the system, and answer any questions you might have regarding the program.
3. Enrollment check
During the next salary collection, personnel will be on-site to double check the registration status of beneficiaries to encourage enrollment.
4. Collect Bank card
Once the private bank of your choice has processed your data and succesfully opened an account for you, it will issue you a new, internationally-recognised debit card that allows you to withdraw cash from any ATM across KRI anytime.
You will be informed promptly when the card is ready for collection. Just bring an ID with you when you go pick it up!
